Does anyone know where I can download FREE books on MP3? I haven't beenhaving much luck in myonline searches..?
I haven't been having much luck in my web searches... I was hoping maybe someone might have a resource I hadn't been able to find. I would love to be able to take books with my on my mp3 player, as I am visually impaired and reading a paperback is a little difficult for me to read. So , someone suggested Ebooks.. is this the right term?

If you are visually impaired, you could try contacting Services for the Blind. They often have audio books available. Most of these are books on tape but they may now have some that have been digitized to MP3's so you could listen to them that way.
EBooks are generally not what you want, they are usually books in a text-readable format (PDF or similar). However, I know the new Amazon Kindle 2.0 has a text to voice feature (there is some controversy over this). But the Kindle is expensive and probably not what you want.
There are also lots of books available on CD. You can buy them at stores, or borrow them from the library.
