how can batteries be used to make speakers louder?
i have this giant old speaker. when i connect it to my mp3 player, the sound isnt really loud. can i somehow use a battery (maybe a 9 volt or something) so that the speaker gets power from the battery but the music from the mp3? please help!
No, you cannot do this.
You need an amplifier.
You can either make or buy one and attach to your speaker
or you can buy a speaker with a built in amplifier.
The amp will need to be run by electricity, either batteries or plug into the wall, it cannot run from your ipod. And if it has no power, you won't hear anything.
