Doubt regarding licensing a component i am developing?
I am developing a Mp3 Player with Silverlight to embed in websites. I am planing to distribute it free of cost with a link to the download site in it. I am not gonna distribute the source code. Which license type (like GNU, BSD etc.) would best fit it ?
GPL 3, definitely...
BSD allows a company to take the source code and close it, so they can make changes sell it and don't have to give anything back.
Consider making it moonlight compatible (Its the open source silverlight)
