are women really this cheap?
Just want to picku up where another question left off.
"Men give necklaces, jewlery, paid vacation, luxury sports cars, take out to fancy dinners, pampering at spas, laptops and mp3 players, expensive chocolate, expensive food.In return women give men things such as socks and maybe a tie (if she's feeling lavish). Why are we women are so cheap ?"
Is this what most men think and have expirienced in their relationships? I don't think thats the case. Discuss.
Never generalize. Not all women are like. Same as all men are not into lavishing their lady with expensive gifts.
Anyway it is the small attention that counts e.g. holding hands, spending quality time with your loved one, going on a date and giving ALL your attention to your partner, taking a w.e. off just the 2 of you, helping out with /sharing the house chores, the children activities, taking some time off your better half's hands so that she/he can spend it doing something she/he really enjoys doing, etc....
Men think that women will love them better or more if they spent a lot of money on gifts but - in general - this is not the case. Women prefer real attention and time spend together as this shows them that they really matter to their man.
Buying expensive gifts may be sometimes construed as trying to buy forgiveness.
A nice gift is always appreciated as long as it comes from the heart. I do buy special expensive gifts for my love when I am sure that it is what he really wants.
I guess you didn't find the right lady for yourself if you complain about her attitude towards you. Just tell her that you appreciate more expensive gifts if this makes you feel as if she loves you more. Maybe her salary doesn't allow her to buy expensive stuff.
Anyway, in a relation, having a lot of money and buying expensive gifts should neither be a consideration nor a must. In French we say : "En Amour on ne compte pas."
When you are really in love, you do not count your pennies/gifts...what counts is the importance of your feeling for each other which doesn't mean that you have to be dirt poor. Money sure does help.
