Help me understand Audio file formats?
Ok, so i get that FLAC is better than MP3 because it's lossless.
So, if I am downloading live music files off of the internet that are flac files, what is the best way to burn them onto an AUDIO CD to play on a regular cd player?
I can't keep them in FLAC format or MP3, correct?? They have to be turned to a WAV file in order to play on a standard CD player right?
If this is the case, why even bother downloading lossless if I have to convert the files and lose the quality anyway?
I'm obviously missing something here. Please explain. Thanks!
Converting the CD into Audio format is better than FLAC, or I should say, FLAC (lossless) is better than AudioCD (WAV). That's why AudioCD usually have only 18 Tracks because of the QUALITY.
Mp3's can be put into CD as data file but can't be played by Standard CD Player.
