I bought this for my 10 year old for Christmas and she used it when she was with me for those 2 months... until she dropped it.  It hit right where the  protective case wasn't. It works perfectly except for the cracked glass...  the iPod case isn't damaged at all... wasn't touched.  I thought about replacing the glass myself, but that is a little scary for me...I guarantee it not to be DOE...
